Advanced Materials and Bioengineering Research Centre

Development of enhanced nanoscale electronic devices for data processing and memory applications
New materials to support innovation in medical devices and delivery systems, implants based on novel therapies, and regenerative tissue engineering
Novel materials and processing for new products in areas such as the bottling industry, energy storage, solar energy, medical devices, medical diagnostics, and chemical and biological filtration
Novel formulations and packaging to improve the distribution of pharmaceuticals.

CURAM - Centre for Research in Medical Devices

multidisciplinary centre bringing together research strength and capacity in biomaterials and drug delivery, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, glycoscience and device design.

I-Form - Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre

The Centre is particularly focused on additive manufacturing (3D printing), combined with the use of digital technologies in manufacturing. The latter includes data analytics, cognitive computing, augmented / mixed reality and informatics.

BEACON

BEACON Bioeconomy Research Centre will develop sustainable novel processes and products using biobased resources, creating clusters for new industry partnerships and delivering the expertise and trained workforce to translate new technologies into new sustainable products, processes, markets and industries.

SSPC - The Synthesis and Solid State Pharmaceutical Centre

The SSPC leads the way for next generation drug manufacture and spans the entire pharmaceutical production chain from synthesis of the molecule, to the isolation of the material, and the formulation of the medicine. The aim of the SSPC is to deliver industry relevant solutions, which result in job growth and retention within the pharmaceutical industry in Ireland.
