Project summary

As urban populations grow, the demand for sustainable, energy-efficient glass with integrated sensing for failure prediction becomes increasingly critical._x000D_ The ClearSensTech project addresses this gap by developing transparent piezoresistive coatings with tunable sensitivity for real-time stress and strain monitoring. These coatings combine advanced sensing with ecofriendly, recyclable materials, achieving TRL 4 by the project's end._x000D_ Targeting architectural and civil engineering sectors, applications include smart windows, transparent curtain walls, and sensor networks for urban infrastructure, enhancing safety, structural monitoring, and energy efficiency._x000D_ ClearSensTech will transform smart building technologies by boosting urban safety, cutting maintenance costs, and promoting sustainability. Its ecofriendly innovations align with circular economy goals, supporting EU sustainable construction directives.
