Hy­brid ma­te­ri­als for Si sur­face pas­siva­ti­on and bat­te­ry ap­p­li­ca­ti­ons - Hy­Mat­Si­Ren

Pro­ject sum­ma­ry

Hy­bri­diza­ti­on of or­ga­nic and in­or­ga­nic com­po­unds al­lows to tune func­tio­na­li­ty of ma­te­ri­als. Main focus of the pro­ject is syn­the­sis and cha­rac­te­riza­ti­on of new hy­brid ma­te­ri­als ob­tai­ned by in­cor­po­ra­ting in­or­ga­nic na­no­ma­te­ri­als into po­ly­mers. Func­tio­na­li­ty of the ma­te­ri­al will be tuned for ap­p­li­ca­ti­ons in pho­to­vol­taics and Li-​ion bat­te­ries. This is a mul­ti­di­sci­pli­na­ry pro­ject com­bi­ning ex­per­ti­ze of spe­cia­lists from dif­fe­rent fields such as ma­te­ri­als sci­ence and na­no­tech­no­lo­gy, pho­to­vol­taic tech­no­lo­gy, Li-​ion bat­te­ries, phy­si­cists, che­mists, and en­gi­neers. The con­sor­ti­um con­sists of ex­perts from an education-​ and basic research-​oriented Uni­ver­si­ty from Spain, an ap­p­lied re­se­arch In­sti­tu­ti­on from Nor­way, and a small & me­di­um en­ter­pri­se from Tur­key. It will form the plat­form for fur­ther en­han­cing the on­go­ing col­la­bo­ra­ti­on, pro­vi­de trai­ning of young sci­en­tists, exchan­ge of in­fra­st­ruc­tu­re, new ideas, com­pe­tence and im­pact in ap­p­li­ca­ti­ons. An in­crea­se in TRL from 3 to 5 is fo­re­se­en.
